“The idiom tip of your tongue is when you have something that you know you want to say and it’s kind of in your mind, but you just can’t get it out. You just don’t know exactly what to say.

So for example, you meet somebody and you’re thinking, what is that person’s name? It’s at the tip of your tongue, but you just cannot say it because you can’t quite remember it.

I often find this when I’m recording these videos. I want to give some examples and I have some at the tip of my tongue, but I can’t quite get them out so I have to retake the video several times. A little secret from my recording there. “
